It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the land of smiles and of course the Asian Orienteering Championships (AsOC) and Asian Junior & Youth Orienteering Championships (AsJYOC).

The city of Chiang Mai is a popular destination for many Thai locals and foreigners. Popular activities include paying homage to the famed Phra That DoiSuthep, which is an important landmark for people in Chiang Mai. (the mountain itself is named after it) Other than worship, the city is also known for its handicraft and many people visit here for the interesting souvenirs that they can bring home for their families. Try the Thapae Walking Street or the Sunday Market in the old city!
